About The MBTI® Personality Type Indicator - Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ®

Based on the Carl Jung archetypes, the most widely-used personality type tool currently available is the MBTI ® assessment. Qualifying.org recommends the Step II version of the instrument which provides a custom report identifying the familiar four letter personality type code and in addition scores on twenty facets of personality associated with type. The basic report indicates preferences for:

  • Extraverted or Introverted psychological energy
  • Sensing (Sensory) or Intuiting information
  • Thinking or Feeling decision-making
  • Judging or Perceiving orientation toward life

In addition, five facet scales in each dimension give you broader insights into how individuals use each preference and how two people could have the same “type” and be very different. The assessment can provoke powerful insight into the psychological types of learners.

Effective January 23, 2010: CPP, Inc. changed the eligibility requirements for the MBTI ®, CPI 260 ®, Strong Interest Inventory ®, and FIRO-B ® as described below.* As such we will no longer be offering the basic qualification program, but will continue to offer several advanced use and application programs essential to the talent management & counseling practitioner whose standard of excellence is going beyond the basics.
